25 Best Books of 2005

UPDATE: Now it's online.

The New York City Public Library unveils it's list of 25 Books to Remember from 2005.

I know what you're all thinking. "Scott, we need another list of the best books of 2005 like we need a new novel from Joyce Carol Oates."

But hold on! A panel of librarians labored over this list for months, each participant reading over 100 books. So, who knows, maybe there's some good stuff. They also have past selections.

Hi, the link up top doesn't seem to lead to the new (2005) list. I think to see it, you have to click

Never Let Me Go seems to have made every single favorite list, best of the year list, and so and so other lists. I think I'll have to pick it up since he's one of my favorite authors. I like THE UNCONSOLED.
